Pressents for 'Sinterklaas'/Christmas

Hi all.

I'm working on a few presents for my family. I figured if I start early I might make something myself.
I have been working on some lovely scarves like Slippery slope and adaptations on Hooded scarf and this celtic pattern.

I just wanted to say I am working on a lot but cannot post pictures yet because it would ruin the suprise for my family :)
But in the meantime check out the patterns above because they are lovely.

Sweater time

Hello all,

There are two reasons I have not been updating as much as I wanted. The first one is because I was away on vacation and out a lot. The second, more interesting one, is that I have been working on a stubborn sweater(I think I didn't have enough badges to make it).

Hi All,

I finally made this pattern 'automatic' so you don't have to calculate anything. If you find any problems please let me know.
Finished!
Front view

Most shrug patters are worked in one square and from side to side most of the time.
I had a hard time getting it to fit in a way that it didn't pinch my in my arms or armpit.
So I started on a new pattern a while back.

I tried a a lot of different things and finally this one is the one that fits best.
It is worked like a top down cardigan, made in one piece and can be made to fit all!

So let us get started!

Updating :D

Hey all, Long time no update. I've been working on a cardigan but I think it hates me. So now I am updating the shrug pattern to an automated pattern where you enter your data and you get a pattern with all the right rows and stitches needed. I am almost done so I think I will post it later tonight or at latest Tuesday. I've also been thinking about making a program that will do the same as this site: give you a pattern based on your input. Not sure if people would like it so let me know what you guys think :). Work on the site

Hey all, I've been working on the site a bit. Adding inches and fixed a problem with Sock pattern part 1.
It displayed too many rows for the toe. It should be all right now :)

If you find any problems, please let me know and I'll fix them asap.

Finally an update!

Hey all,

I haven't been online much lately, sorry! I made a simple phone case that I will share with you soon when I finish making the pattern.
I did update my gauge swatch calculator with inches. It wasn't as much work as I thought it would be. I will be updating all my patterns today with inches so it might take a while.
So here it is!

Sock update

Hi all,

Sorry for uploading an incomplete pattern. I found out that updating the values didn't work correctly. It is fixed now! The updated numbers are now orange so you can see them more clearly.
If anyone has some other suggestions please share :) I love hearing them.

Sock Pattern Generator Part 2

Hi all,

Here is part 2 of my sock pattern. This is the heel and the leg. The heel always sounds intimidating but it is really easy I promise!

Sock pattern generator part 1

Hi all,

So here is the sock pattern generator. You give your gauge swatch and foot measurements and out comes your pattern. This is only part 1 up to the heel. The heel and leg will be done next week.

So let's start off with an gauge swatch. Fill in how many stitches and rows you crocheted and how big it is. Everything will be in cm's. Later on I will add inches if I have the time.
Gauge swatch
Cm Inch
Width(in stitches)
Width(in )
&nbsp
Height(in rows)
Height(in )

So now we have the gauge swatch you should measure the foot. You will need 2 measurements for now.
- The circumference or the widest point of your foot. For most people it is around the ball of your foot.
- The length from your longest toe to the mid of your ankle. This is measured in one line perpendicular to the floor.
Foot measurements
Circumference of your foot  (in )
Lenght of foot(in )

So these are the numbers I use in the calculations. The first two(or the measurements of your gauge swatch) might be nice to write down so you can use them in part two.

The loops on the back side

Round 1:St in each of the v loops on the front side. Place a stitch marker in the last made stitch. I often use bobby pins I have lying around. Perhaps that is why I always lose them... Your work is now oval shaped.
Loops on the front side End of the row with the first stitch marker
Work in each of the slipped stitches. Mark last made stitch. You should now have 's in total.
After working in the slipped stitches en marking the last stitch
Round 2: Sc up to first marked stitch. Sc 2 in stitch before marker. Remove stitch marker. Sc in the stitch. Replace marker. Repeat on other side.

Working up to first marked stitch and sc 2 in the stitch before the marked one St in marked stitch and replaced marker
Round 3: Sc up to first marked stitch. Remove marker. St 1 in stitch. Place marker in the just made stitch.
Sc to next marked stitch. Remove marker. Work in stitch. Replace marker.
Repeat round 2 and 3 until you have stitches.
The toe after all the row 2-3's. I worked with stripes but that doesn't matter
You should now have rows in total.

Rest of the foot
Remove first marker.

Row -: St up to marker. Remove marker. St in the stitch. Replace marker.
After working in the round normally.

You now are done with part 1 of the sock. The second part will be on next Tuesday. The heel is not as hard as it seems so don't be afraid!
The second part will be generated like this one so please write down your measurements so you can use them in part 2!

I hope to see you next week for the next part.
Edit: Here is Part 2

Sock announcement!

Hey all,
A second update for today! Just to announce a new pattern.
I found that I love making socks! But I often see that people hate calculating how the pattern should be made to fit perfectly.
So now I give you a pattern where you can just give in your gauge swatch, measurements of your foot and out comes the pattern :).
The first part will be up by Tuesday because I still have to make some pictures. I used a mix between Crochet kitten's and Canadian living's. So if you want to see which calculations I used, look at those pages.

As I said I hope to have it up by Tuesday. Oh and I love feedback! ;)

A little gauge swatch calculator :)

Hey all,

I have been ill so haven't been updating much. So I built a little gauge swatch calculator. Just input the amount of stitches, rows and your measurements in cm and out comes the Stitches/Cm and Rows/Cm.
I'll build one in inches after this but since it work in metrics it will take a while for me to get to it :)
Have fun with it!

Updates!

Hi all,

Long time no updates. Like I said, my laptop dies but now it is back! I have been reinstalling and updating so no I'm ready to write some posts!

Some technical difficulties.

 Hey everyone,

My dear laptop is has been experiencing some difficulties for a while now. Tomorrow they are going to pick it up for repair so I'll be laptop-less for a while.
I can still use the desktop at home but we share it with the whole family so it might be hard to udate or respond much.
On the plus side, when I don't hang around on my computer I crochet more so there should be some updates soon.
I am working on a cardigan for my mother and hope to share the pattern with you as soon as it is done.

Spinning Part 2

Hey all,

After some e-mailing I found out there is a place with drop-spindles about 500m from my home this Friday to Monday! I'll still be going to the atelier of the spinsters (if they have time this weekend) and I'm going to sea with my dad.
So I hope to have some spinning to show next week!

Spinning

Hi all,

I would love to make my own yarn for my patterns. Mostly because I can never find the right colour or size. So I have wanted a spindle for a long time. One problem: I am a student so I don't have much money or room for a spindle. So when I saw drop spindles for the first time I decided I wanted to have one.
My dad knows this so because I got a 100+ page-views already he going to take me to buy a drop spindle! I am really exited.
We are probably going to De Spinners (The spinsters). They have a lot of beautiful spindles! The site is in Dutch but you can check it out anyway.
As soon as I get a drop spindle I will post pictures.
So thanks everyone for viewing my blog and I'll try to post a new pattern or design by Tuesday.

Cable Leg Warmer

Hi all,
My leg warmers!
I love skirts and dresses. That is why the first design I shared was a skirt.
I also love the sun on my face. That is why I was working on a shrug. It was too cold for just a shirt so a shrug is perfect.

Too bad the weather didn't agree with my view on how warm it should be. Spring weather is late and I wanted to wear skirts so I made some leg warmers. So now I share my new leg warmers with you all!

French Rope Braid

Hi all,

I found some older pictures on my computer that I wanted to share.
I love braiding so I asked my friend to be my model and give my time to test out a few braids. The first I will share is a French rope braid.

Skirt update (Photos)

Hey hey,

Because of some computer, photo and weather issues I give you my belated update.

Here is my skirt!

[WIP] Shrug

Hi all,

I'm working on a simple shrug at the moment. It is fast and easy but it looks cute. It is easy to alter it in different sizes and fun to make. I hope to post a photo with a pattern tomorrow or Sunday.

I am open to ideas for new projects at the moment so let me know if you want help with something.

Love,

Little mouse.

Basic crocheted skirt (including pattern)

Hi there all!
I have made a basic skirt. Pictures will follow this weekend when I get my boyfriend to snap some shots.
The pattern is very easy and doesn't require much attention.
The pattern consists of two parts. The skirt and the waistband.
It can be made in any yarn you want as long as you have a fitting crochet needle. I used a hook size 4 with matching yarn. I used two colours, one for the skirt and one for the waistband.

Little owner change

I just changed the account on this blog because I saw you could reach my private e-mail from my other account. Oops. Normally I'm not that clumsy with my info but I needed that account for a school blog. So now this is my new account.

At the moment I am crocheting a wide skirt and working on a pattern for a pencil skirt. I hope to show you all some photos soon! Perhaps tomorrow?
I'll also try get some of my friends to model some crocheted corsets so I can post some pictures soon.

Have a great night,

Little Mouse

Intro to my adventures

Hi all,

I am little mouse, you can call me mouse if you want. I'm a 20 year old girl.
I try to see life as an adventure. Every minute of every day you can start one as long as you want to.
I've had some setbacks in live and by seeing trying to overcome them as an adventure I stay strong.
I like filling my days with a lot of things but this blog is mostly about hairstyles, haircare and my creative creations (mostly crochet and knitting but perhaps some sewing and spinning if I can get my hands on a drop spindle). Perhaps I'll link some posts to my programming blog if they are relevant.
So I just wanted to tell the world who I am and how this blog came to be. I hope te be able to post some other things soon!

Love,

Little mouse
